Standing Instructors |
HBDA dance instructors are
volunteers and have no salary or fee. Instructors spend one or two
hours of preparation for each hour of instruction. Kudos to all HBDA Standing and Rotating
instructors for their unselfish devotion to the
art of dancing and teaching. The Chapter’s Senior
and Junior
Standing Instructors teach the first class of the
night. The Rotating
Instructors teach the last two classes.
Rotating Instructors rotates to different chapters
throughout the year.
The
instructors follow a syllabus guideline from HBDA to ensure the students
learn the proper steps
of ballroom dancing. Instructors encourage
participation from all members to learn and
enjoy ballroom
dance and have fun. Mastering of the dance steps will
fall in place with this in mind. Advanced
students are encouraged to
assist new students and make them feel welcomed and reinforce the
enjoyment of ballroom dancing with a feeling of Aloha and
Ohana. |
